Christmas Services 2011
Summer Services 2011
As is usual for us, we will be changing the pattern of Sunday services during the school holidays. Please feel welcome to join us at any of these times on each Sunday from 31st July to 4th September.
8am will follow our usual pattern of a quiet and peaceful start to the day in the Chapel.
10am in Church will be a family service, which will either be all-age style or have children’s groups. On 4th Sept this service will be at Yateley School.
7pm will be a quieter “unplugged” service in Oasis at the back of the Church building.
Please check Grapevine each week for details of communion and baptism services.

Our New Vicar
The Revd Andrew Edmunds, Operations Director of the charity Valley Cids, has been appointed Vicar of Yateley in the Odiham Deanery. He will be Collated by the Bishop of Basingstoke at St Peter’s Yateley at 7.30pm on Thursday 14th July 2011.
Please pray for Andy and his family as they prepare to move to Yateley and that all the necessary arrangements are made smoothly.
From Andy:
Sunday, 17th April 2011.
I am absolutely delighted to have been invited by the Bishop of Winchester to be the Vicar at St. Peter’s, Yateley. From the first time that Ann and I drove through the parish, we hoped that this was where God was calling us. Now having met key leaders in the parish, we can’t wait to come and join you.
Over the years, I have been a teacher, a social worker, and then, since ordination in 1989, I have served in the parish of Hawkwell, Essex; Wellswood (Torquay), Devon; and Ripley, Derbyshire. For the last two years I have been the Operations Director of a children’s charity that I worked with others to set up in 2000. Those who have known me over this time and have seen your church profile have all said that St. Peter’s Yateley is exactly the right place for me now. I hope you will agree(!).
Over the coming weeks, Ann and I look forward to meeting more people and getting to know the church better. You will also get to meet our son David (22yrs) who will be moving into the vicarage with us, and our daughter Rebecca (24 years) who lives in Peterborough.
For now though we pray that God will bless us all, as we prepare for a new chapter in this adventure of faith.

Walking Through Lent 2011
As we travel with Jesus through the wilderness in preparation for Good Friday and then the celebration of Easter, we have, as in other years, a number of opportunities to pray together.
Across the EDGY group, we have been encouraging our fellowship to take up a new discipline of daily prayer for Lent. Some ideas are attached here in case you have not been able to pick up a copy in Church.

Annual Meeting 27th March 2011
At our annual meeting we will celebrate the good things that God has done during the last year and pray together for the coming year. Rev. Peter Dyson, our new Area Dean, will be joining us.
We also need to elect members to our leadership. Please be praying about whether you, or someone God lays on your heart, might stand for election to the following posts:
PCC: 2 places
Deanery Synod: 4 places
Church Wardens: 2 positions
Please note that in order to vote or to stand for election you must be on our electoral roll.
Papers are now available at all services – please collect your copy of the financial reports, the report of groups and last year’s minutes.
Nomination forms for the elected roles have been posted at the back of Church and the 10am service.
Questions – if you have a question that you would like to raise at this year’s annual meeting, please would you mark it for the Wardens and leave it at the office or give it direct to Betty or David. This is so that we are able to ensure that we can answer as effectively as possible.
Real Easter Eggs
At last, an opportunity to buy Easter Eggs with a Christian message.
