If you’d like to respond to the emerging crisis in Burma, here’s some links to how you can help:
Subject: BURMA CYCLONE – NGO APPEALS
Here’s a list of NGO’s already working in Burma who have mobilised or are mobilising to provide emergency relief in the affected areas, and who are appealing for funds. The list has been complied by Vicky Bowman who was HM Ambassador there from 2002-2006and she says that “I was always been impressed by their ongoing work in Burma during my time there”.
Readers may also like to consider inviting donations to be made through our own locally based charity ‘The Burma Children’s Fund’. We have already made an emergency transfer of £4000. We shortly expect an assessment of needs by a team visiting from an Anglican Church in Kuala Lumpur which aims to meet Archbishop Stephen to get his assessment and they will advise us how the BCF could next help. Donations can be made via St John’s made out to:
‘Burma Children’s Fund’ for non gift aided donations
‘Burma Children’s Fund – St John’s HW PCC’’ for gift aided donations

BURMA/MYANMAR: CYCLONE NARGIS APPEALS
